The translation is a tiny bit clunky in spots but honestly? The story is so engaging you forget about it after a few chapters. Serena carries this book and I'm here for it.
I went through this book way too fast. Now I'm just sitting here staring at the wall thinking about Serena and Trevor. The way he grovels? Perfection. No notes.
The grovel and redemption arc in this book is unmatched. Trevor actually has to WORK for it and that's what makes the HEA so satisfying.
Honestly the best enemies to lovers book I've read this year. The writing flows so well and the chemistry is off the charts. I'll definitely be rereading this one.
y'all... this book ATE. i was kicking my feet and giggling. Trevor really said 'i'll burn the world for you' and meant it. obsessed.
For anyone on the fence: just get it. The story is engaging from chapter one and doesn't let up. I laughed, I cried, I got unreasonably angry at fictional characters. 10/10 experience.
It's not perfect — some plot points are a little convenient — but the emotional core is so strong I genuinely didn't care. Serena's journey is worth the read. Solid 4 stars.
I usually skip long books but this one being 488 chapters flew by. The story is that engaging. Didn't want it to end honestly.
Finally a heroine who isn't a doormat! Serena has a SPINE and I'm here for every moment of it. Watching her grow is so cathartic.
