When Her Heart Turned to Stone

I found this randomly and now it's one of my top 5 reads of the year. The angst, the drama, the love — it's all there. Just read it.

Just finished reading When Her Heart Turned to Stone and what a ride! Raylee starts off in such a tough situation — four years ago, raylee somers was framed by waverly goodridge, the true heiress of the goodridge family, and thrown into prison. — but watching her transform and take control of her life across 720 chapters is so satisfying. Samuel had me frustrated and swooning in equal measure. If you love a good family drama romance with actual character growth, this one delivers.

I've been looking for a good family drama romance and When Her Heart Turned to Stone exceeded my expectations. Raylee's story — four years ago, raylee somers was framed by waverly goodridge, the true heiress of the goodridge family, and thrown into prison. — hits all the right emotional notes. The way Samuel slowly realizes what he's lost is perfection. With 720 chapters of slow burn and satisfying payoffs, this is a must-read for romance fans.

currently in my feels after finishing this. the way Raylee stands up for herself is so satisfying. we love a queen who knows her worth. period.

What sets this apart from other family drama books is the pacing. It never drags. Every chapter moves the story forward and I appreciated that so much.

This is one of those books where the MMC is so frustrating but you can't help falling for him anyway. Samuel is giving toxic-but-i-can-fix-him energy and I ate it UP.

I was in a massive reading slump and this book single-handedly pulled me out of it. Raylee is the strong female lead I've been craving. Love love love.

Okay so I went into this thinking it would be your typical family drama romance but WOW was I wrong. The character growth Raylee goes through is actually incredible.

Ok but why did nobody prepare me for chapter 50+?? I was NOT ready. The emotional damage is real. But like, the good kind of damage. You know what I mean.

The moment I read that Raylee is four years ago, raylee somers was framed by waverly goodridge, the true heiress of the goodridge family, and thrown into prison. I knew I was in for something special. When Her Heart Turned to Stone doesn't just rely on the family drama trope — it builds real emotional stakes. Samuel goes through genuine growth and by the end I was completely sold. 720 chapters well spent.

i fear this book has altered my brain chemistry. the slow burn is immaculate. i will never be the same. thank you author for blessing us with this masterpiece.

I went through this book way too fast. Now I'm just sitting here staring at the wall thinking about Raylee and Samuel. The way he grovels? Perfection. No notes.

Every time I thought I knew where this was going, the author pulled another twist. Raylee keeps you on your toes and I love that. Smart writing.

This author knows how to write ANGST. My heart was literally hurting during certain chapters. But the resolution makes it all worth it. Beautiful story.
