Chapter 1: Help Me

Luna Smith could never have imagined that she would be betrayed by her own father.

To her disbelief, he had actually sought out several men with malicious intent, planning for them to assault Luna and capture the horrific act on film. His vile scheme was to use this as a threat to wrestle away the shares of her mother's company that Luna held.

By the time Luna realized there was a problem, it was already too late. She had unknowingly consumed the red wine laced with an aphrodisiac.

The drug would take a few minutes to fully kick in, and during that time, Luna had to save herself.

She grabbed the bottle of red wine from the table and smashed it over her father, Edward Smith's head. Then, seizing the opportunity, she pushed open the door of the private dining room in the hotel and made her escape.

Behind her, the grumbling voices of a few men could be heard.

Luna's mind was in utter chaos as she ran aimlessly around the hotel corridor.

While she was about to be caught, she noticed a room ahead with the door slightly ajar. Without any hesitation, she darted in and quickly locked the door.

“Who are you?” The man inside the room stood up. His towering figure blocked the sunlight streaming in from the window, casting his entire front in shadow. His features were indistinct and hazy, impossible to make out clearly.

All that Luna could detect was a strong scent of alcohol and a faint hint of blood.

The man looked intently at the unexpected visitor. Despite wearing no noticeable makeup, she was strikingly attractive in her sky-blue, luxurious dress. Her complexion was flushed, and her forehead was lightly damp with sweat, causing her hair to fall slightly out of place.

He wondered if she were one of those call girls hired by his mischievous friends.

Before he could continue guessing, Luna had already collapsed on the ground, completely drained. All she could muster was a weak plea. “Please... help me...”

Even though he didn't fully understand the situation, he still carried her to the bed.

Shouts and curses echoed from beyond the door, likely from someone chasing after her.

Before long, relentless pounding began on the door.

“Open up! I saw that woman run inside! If you don't open this door right now, I swear you'll regret it!”

Edward stood outside the door, creating a commotion with a group of people.

As soon as the door was cracked open, Edward eagerly squeezed himself through.

But in the next moment, he slowly backed away.

Accompanying him as he emerged was a handgun pointed at his forehead, and the man wielding the gun reeked of alcohol.

“Oh, and how do you plan to do that?”

Upon seeing the man who emerged from within, the people who had originally intended to rush in were stunned.

They all recognized the man before them.

There wasn't a single person in the entire Crownford who didn't know him.

For people living on the fringes of the law, it was vital to know the man before them if they wanted to avoid mysteriously disappearing one day.

After all, he was the most successful entrepreneur in Crownford and the leader of its largest underworld organization. He was Arthur Finch, known to many as the Tyrant.

Moreover, he had been drinking.

“Mr. Finch...” Edward noticed a hint of anger on Arthur's face, which made him smile bitterly.

He hadn't expected that Luna would actually run into the room of the intimidating figure before him.

Upon seeing Arthur's gaze shift toward him, Edward hastily put on a friendly smile. “We were just chasing a thief. Someone saw her running into your room...”

“Oh? Are you suggesting that I have something to do with the thief? What kind of hidden treasure could this city possibly hold that would be worth my time to steal?” Arthur's lips curved into what seemed like a smile, but those standing at the doorway could only feel a chilling coldness emanating from it.

A single thought surged in everyone's mind: If they didn't provide Arthur with a satisfactory answer, they would meet their doom.

Chapter 2: The Scandal

Edward's heart pounded loudly in his chest. He frantically waved his hands. “No, no, no, we must be mistaken. How could you possibly be involved with a thief? We must have disturbed you, Mr. Finch. Please forgive us!”

“Absolutely, we were mistaken. She actually ran into the room next door. It was entirely my fault for not noticing properly!” someone said hastily, even slapping himself in frustration.

With an awkward smile, Edward said, “We'll continue our search for the thief then. We wouldn't want to disturb your rest, Mr. Finch.”

After saying that, he was ready to lead his men away.

“Hold on.” Arthur suddenly spoke up.

The crowd, originally intending to leave, suddenly halted in their tracks, their hearts filled with unease as they turned to look at Arthur.

Arthur cast a cold glance over the crowd and demanded, “Who was it that just pounded on the door?”

Upon hearing those words, everyone couldn't help but turn their gaze toward one of the foreigners.

At that moment, the foreigner was drenched in sweat, with his back completely soaked.

Arthur looked at him and asked, “Which hand did you use?”

The foreigner glanced left and right, seemingly seeking assistance from his companions. However, all of his companions deliberately avoided his gaze.

He had no choice but to raise his left hand shakily.

In reality, he had used his right hand, but Arthur didn't seem to care.

Amid the horrified gazes of the crowd, Arthur fired a shot at the foreigner's wrist. The gunshot, though muffled by a silencer, was still sharp, but it was nothing compared to the foreigner's chilling screams of agony.

“Get out,” the man said indifferently before he turned around and shut the door.

Everyone let out a sigh of relief, quickly helped the foreigner to his feet, and hurriedly left the scene.

They had totally forgotten about Luna.

After sending those people away, Arthur returned to the room. He saw that one of the straps of Luna's dress had slipped off, revealing her fair shoulder and a portion of her chest. She had a dazed look in her eyes. Her hands were randomly rubbing over her body, and from her lips escaped a series of enticing moans.

The effects of the aphrodisiac had completely taken hold of her.

Her complexion had become even more rosy than before. In her daze, she felt the man's presence and clung to him like a koala.

Arthur didn't refuse, regardless of whether she was a call girl or a thief. Under the influence of alcohol and the sting of his wounds, he desperately needed to distract himself in some other way.

By the time Luna awoke after one passionate night, the man had already left.

She was completely bare, her body adorned with a myriad of blue and purple marks. These were all stark reminders of the events that truly transpired the previous night.

On the bedside table, there was a set of workout clothes.

Beside it was a check worth five million.

It was brutally straightforward and precisely the kind of thing that man from last night would do.

She picked up a discarded cell phone from the side. The headlines were all pushing the latest news.

Headline 1: Smith Family Heiress in Turmoil: Allegedly Dating Multiple Notorious Young Men Simultaneously.

Headline 2: Smith Family Heiress Luna Smith Hits Father Edward Smith in Defense of Young Boyfriend.

Headline 3: Edward Smith Hopes Daughter Luna Smith Will See Her Mistakes, Didn't Report Incident to Police.

Headline 4: Smith Family Heiress Luna Smith at the Center of Scandal.

There was also video evidence. Although Luna managed to escape in time last night, preventing Edward's plan from succeeding, they were still able to obtain useful footage from the hotel's surveillance cameras.

The footage showed Luna smashing a wine bottle over Edward's head. Those few brief seconds of edited video firmly cemented Luna's reputation as a rebellious daughter.

Her reputation had been completely tarnished.

Luna clenched her fists, fully aware that Edward was cornered and desperate. He was using this as his last-ditch effort to force her into giving up her mother's company shares. This was his trump card.

Considering Edward's reckless actions yesterday, it was clear that he had completely severed ties with her. Given his nature, staying in the country would only lead to relentless pursuit. Since she couldn't stay, she resolved to grow significantly stronger before returning to settle the score.

Chapter 3: They Are Just Too Adorable

Six years later, a slender girl wearing sunglasses appeared at the VIP exit of Crownford International Airport.

She was trailed by two little boys, donned in tiny suits. Their hair had a natural curl to it, and their thick eyebrows and big eyes made them incredibly adorable.

She glanced sideways and saw a frenzy at the arrival gate. Fans were wildly waving signs and shouting, “Mr. Adrian, Mr. Adrian...”

“Mommy, who is Mr. Adrian?” the little boy on the left asked, his large eyes filled with curiosity.

Just as Luna was about to claim she didn't know him, a man suddenly appeared by her side and grabbed her.

“Miss, could you help me?”

The man was wearing a black mask and sunglasses. He pointed toward the fans who were wildly cheering at the arrival gate, brought his hands together in a plea, and said, “I'm counting on you!”

Two minutes later, a young couple emerged from the arrival gate, each of them cradling a little boy in their arms.

Despite wearing masks, the family's strikingly attractive appearance was impossible to hide. Passersby couldn't resist stealing glances at them.

Whispers among the fans could be heard. “This family seems so happy!”

“But don't you think the man looks like Mr. Adrian?”

“They just look alike. Mr. Adrian isn't married. Where on earth did the child come from?” A nearby fan immediately voiced her dissatisfaction.

“I was just saying, but he really looks like Mr. Adrian,” the criticized fan retorted.

After leaving the airport, Adrian Finch found a secluded spot to set the little boy down. He then turned to Luna and said, “Thank you. Without your help, I wouldn't have been able to leave so quickly!”

“You're welcome!”

Luna was about to leave with her two little boys when Adrian stopped her. “I'm Adrian Finch. Would you be comfortable sharing your name?”

“Smith!” Luna introduced herself tersely. “They're my sons, Paxton and Daxton.”

“They're twins?” Adrian was clearly intrigued by the two little boys, a hint of curiosity flashing in his dark eyes. “They look exactly alike.”

“Yeah.”

Noticing the indifference in Luna's tone, Adrian took off his mask.

Contrary to his expectations, there was no shriek of delight. He couldn't even find a hint of surprise in her eyes.

Luna removed her sunglasses, giving Adrian a nod. “If there's nothing else, I'll be on my way.”

Upon regaining his composure, Adrian smiled and asked, “Um... Ms. Smith, may I take a picture with your kids? They are just too adorable!”

Adrian felt a bit nervous. This was the first time he had initiated a request for a photo together. In the past, it had always been the fans who took the initiative.

“What do you think?” Luna handed the decision-making power over to the two little boys.

They nodded their heads happily. After all, they were so adorable.

The trio posed for several photos together. Adrian had hoped to invite Luna to join them but was rejected.

After taking the photos, Adrian seized the opportunity and said, “Let's exchange numbers. It will make it easier to send you the kids' pictures later.”

Seeing that Luna was somewhat hesitant, Adrian quickly clarified, “You must have realized by now that I'm a public figure. Being with me inevitably invites trouble. If entertainment reporters bother you, it will be easier for me to reach you.”

After some consideration, Luna decided to exchange numbers with Adrian.

Out of courtesy, Adrian and Luna waved their goodbyes.

After they had left, Adrian eagerly clicked on a WhatsApp profile named “Tyrant.” He sent a few group photos and began recording a voice message.

“Bro, I just ran into two little boys at the airport who looked exactly like you when you were a kid. Have you been secretly raising some kids outside?”

Chapter 4: Unconventional Medicine

Meanwhile, in the reception room of the Finch residence, Arthur was hosting a distinguished guest—Carlo Gambino, the powerful leader of the old-school Gambino mafia family from Cheville.

The other party had an arms production line. By establishing a collaboration with the Gambino family, arms could be acquired at a significantly lower price.

The negotiations between both sides went smoothly and they quickly reached an agreement.

Carlo clearly had high regard for Arthur, the rising star of the underworld. He seized the opportunity and proposed, “Arthur, you're an impressive young man. I heard you're not married. How about I introduce you to my daughter?”

A slight frown creased Arthur's brow.

Members of the mafia never beat around the bush.

Carlo appeared to be contemplating Arthur's marriage. However, he also had plans to test him further. He considered using matrimonial ties to unite the Finch and Gambino families.

The Gambino family was no longer what it once was. While it was now in decline, the Finch family was steadily on the rise. At best, they could only engage in business discussions. Forming an alliance would invite the Gambino family's numerous enemies, a risk that far outweighed any potential benefits for the Finch family.

If Arthur were to outright reject Carlo, it could potentially bring unnecessary complications to the business deal at hand.

Arthur hesitated, considering how to refuse without offending Carlo, when a jarring noise sounded from the phone he had left on the table.

“Excuse me.” He took the opportunity to glance at his phone.

Carlo was magnanimous, waving his hand to show he didn't mind.

Arthur immediately opened the message. He saw the group photo and the voice message.

The sight of the two children in the photo momentarily stunned him, but he quickly regained his composure.

In an era where AI technology was advanced, such a photo didn't prove much.

He played the voice message.

“Bro, I just ran into two little boys at the airport who looked exactly like you when you were a kid. Have you been secretly raising some kids outside?”

Adrian's voice, filled with excitement and a touch of mockery, echoed throughout the modest-sized reception room. It was too late for Arthur to feel any regret.

Across from him, Carlo was momentarily taken aback before a knowing smile spread across his face. “So, you've been keeping your cards close to your chest, huh? Seems like I've underestimated you young folks.”

After he finished speaking, he gave Arthur a pat on the shoulder. “Pleasure doing business with you.”

A hint of embarrassment crossed Arthur's face. “Likewise, and I hope you can keep this confidential.”

“Of course, we're all men after all!”

Carlo made a teasing remark before leaving the reception room. The topic of the alliance through marriage wasn't mentioned again.

While it seemed as though everything had been perfectly resolved, Arthur still had many lingering questions. He replied to Adrian: Where are you? I'll come pick you up.

Upon receiving the address from Adrian, Arthur loosened his collar slightly, grabbed his car keys, and exited the reception room.

Meanwhile, Luna hailed a cab and, along with Paxton and Daxton, headed to a friend's lavishly decorated house. Since the Smith residence had already been taken over by Edward, Luna naturally wouldn't walk into a trap.

From the thirty-second floor, the sweeping view of Crownford unfolded below.

The place had been empty for over a year. When Luna's friend Greg Lawson, who lived abroad, heard that she was returning home, he provided her with the keys to the house.

Luna opened the refrigerator, only to find it empty.

“Paxton, Daxton, let's go downstairs and buy some stuff.”

“Okay!”

Paxton and Daxton immediately got up and followed behind Luna.

After walking for a few minutes, they found themselves in the heart of the city's busiest and largest shopping district.

As soon as they entered the mall, Paxton and Daxton instinctively grabbed a shopping cart each, following closely behind Luna.

Having made her selections, Luna was in a good mood as she waited to check out.

Suddenly, an old man up ahead clutched his chest and gradually collapsed.

His face turned pale, and drenched in sweat, he collapsed to the ground.

“Quick, dial 911!”

Suddenly, the crowd erupted into chaos. A man who looked like a bodyguard hurried over from not too far away. In a state of panic, he asked, “Is there a doctor here? Is there a doctor?”

“Excuse me, I'm a doctor.”

Luna walked straight over, took a quick glance, and declared, “He's having a heart attack.”

She rolled up her sleeves, exposing her well-defined arm muscles.

Her six years abroad weren't just spent evading pursuers and raising her children.

Having traveled around the world, she had picked up quite a few skills.

This included unconventional medicine.

The bodyguard flinched, abruptly seizing Luna's hand which was about to touch the old man. “Wait a minute! What do you think you're doing?”

Luna pushed him away, her voice cold as she said, “The closest ambulance would take at least ten minutes to get here. Do you think he can hold on for that long?”

Disregarding the bodyguard's disgruntled expression, Luna lifted the old man's casual attire and began to massage him.

Chapter 5: She Is A Benefactor

“She sure has some nerve!”

“I've seen such massage techniques in films, but I thought it was all staged. I can't believe she's actually daring enough to do it!”

“She really is bold.”

“If something goes wrong, she'll be in trouble.”

“Judging by her confident demeanor, she might actually pull it off!”

“Who knows, really...”

The old man's bodyguard was equally shocked. Although he lacked medical knowledge, he understood that the heart was not something to be handled carelessly.

However, given the old man's condition, if he died, the bodyguard's boss would likely ensure he faced the same fate.

Feeling a bit deflated at the thought, he decided to let the woman try, hoping for a miracle.

Unfazed by the people around her, Luna concentrated as she massaged the old man.

She then removed his shoes and socks to massage his feet.

The old man's body gave a slight tremble, drawing the wide-eyed attention of those nearby.

“She didn't kill him, did she?”

The old man, who had been struggling to breathe just moments earlier, suddenly coughed violently. His pallor began to ease.

“He's alive. He's really alive...”

The bodyguard was so elated he was on the verge of tears. He quickly pulled out his phone to report to his boss. “Mr. Finch, Old Mr. Finch had a sudden heart attack at the supermarket. Thankfully, a lady present at the scene administered first aid. She—”

“What? How is my grandfather right now? I'm coming over!”

Arthur couldn't spare the time to pick up Adrian from the airport. Instead, he sharply turned the steering wheel, veering into the oncoming traffic lane, and sped toward the supermarket George Finch often visited.

Though mafia members often seemed ruthless on the outside, each one had their own vulnerabilities beneath the surface.

Family was Arthur's greatest vulnerability.

This was also a tradition inherited from their cultural roots, placing unparalleled importance on family.

By the time Arthur arrived, he happened to see the medics lifting George into the ambulance.

He jumped out of the car, grabbed a medic by the collar, and demanded fiercely, “How's my grandfather?”

The medic was taken aback. “M-Mr. Finch? Your grandfather is stable for now. The lady's first aid skills were quite professional. He just needs another surgery, and the hospital is already prepared.”

The bodyguard waiting nearby hurriedly came over and explained, “Mr. Finch, Old Mr. Finch was able to speak just now. You should really thank that lady.”

“Take me to see her!” Arthur released his grip as he spoke. If it hadn't been for that lady, my grandfather wouldn't be here right now.

I have to find her and express my gratitude.

The bodyguard nodded. “That lady is right over—huh? She was just here...”

Arthur looked over and spotted the woman with two children retreating into the crowd, her figure quickly vanishing from sight.

As soon as he caught a glimpse, a mysterious flutter stirred in his heart.

It felt like an instinctive pull, coursing through his veins, urging him to catch up.

However, he didn't. After all, George was still in the ambulance. He couldn't just abandon him.

“Get me the surveillance footage from the supermarket today and find out who that lady is,” he instructed. “Remember, she's a benefactor of the Finch family!”

“Understood!”
